This timeless vineyard wedding at CASS winery was a beautiful celebration of Bridget and Yaron's love story. The newlyweds wanted a classic look to their wedding, so we worked with a color palette of gold, ivory, and mauve for their florals and decorations. When it came to planning their reception, they wanted to create a memorable experience for their guests. They knew the two key elements were good food and good music!
Bridget and Yaron first met through a mutual friend at work, and dated long-distance for over a year before Yaron moved to California. During a backpacking trip with two of their friends in Yosemite, Yaron planned to propose to Bridget on a scenic hike, and asked his friends to help him capture the moment. While the couple were posing for pictures in front of "the most beautiful spot in Hetch Hetchy," Yaron turned Bridget towards him and got down on one knee.
GETTING READY
CEREMONY
For their traditional Jewish wedding, the chuppah was the centerpiece of the ceremony site. The aisle was framed by two wine barrels, which were decorated with abundant floral arrangements, lanterns, and scattered flower petals. After a sweet and emotional walk down the aisle, Bridget joined Yaron under the chuppah to exchange their vows and perform the breaking of glass, before they were pronounced husband and wife.
COCKTAIL HOUR
After the ceremony, all the guests were ushered to the patio to enjoy cocktail hour in a relaxing lounge space, decorated with minimal and classic displays of lanterns and floral arrangements. The van photo booth, framed in the corner of the patio, was the highlight of the hour!
RECEPTION
For the seating chart, we set an elegant gold-framed mirror at the entrance to the reception. The seating cards were neatly arranged in rows and secured with gold wax seals. Each place setting was simple and tasteful, with gold accents, a neatly-folded napkin, and a sprig of rosemary placed on the menu card.
Since Bridget and Yaron wanted food to be the "centerpiece" of each table, we decided to hand-craft wooden platters and lazy susans for each reception table. We also decided to serve food family-style to allow guests to effortlessly pass dishes and chat. For this family of “foodies,” it was important that the dinner be delicious, and CASS winery's catering definitely delivered! The menu was tuscan lemon chicken and flat iron steak, served alongside organic green salad, seasonal vegetables, and freshly-baked bread.
DANCING
Because music was another significant aspect of the evening, we chose a live band, Undercover Live, to perform for the evening. The band brought such high energy to the reception that people were dancing even before dinner! The bride and groom even took dance lessons to prepare in the weeks leading up to their wedding, and after the bride's quick outfit change, the two of them were out working the dance floor alongside all their guests. Following Jewish wedding tradition, they got the party started with hora (chair) dancing!
LOVE LETTER FROM THE NEWLYWEDS
"Our wedding day would not have been as perfect without Sam and her crew. My husband and I decided to get married in Paso Robles after falling in love with the central coast. We knew it would be hard planning a destination wedding with Covid restrictions, but Sam made it so easy. Initially I thought my mom and I could do most of the wedding planning but unfortunately my mom was diagnosed with cancer right before we got engaged and could not help as much as we originally thought. My mom and I set up a call with Sam and immediately my mom felt at ease and knew Sam would help create the wedding of my dreams. We used her “Just the Icing” services and she was able to make our dream wedding a reality. Sam really got to know us as a couple and helped bring our vision to life. She was always available when we had questions and created so many helpful guides and tools to help us navigate the stressful wedding planning process. On our wedding day I was very calm and not stressed because I knew Sam had everything under control. The whole day went smoothly and was perfect. Sam exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend her to plan your wedding or next event." -Bridget
"We really appreciate and cherish all the close family and friends we have in our life. We know most people have traveled for our wedding and we are very thankful for that and want them to have great time. We love to create memorable moments and experiences. It’s not about the material things, it’s about the experiences and memories we create that we value the most." - Bridget & Yaron
