JULY 24th
At a farm in the heart of Edna Valley, Lisa and Dane's golden midsummer wedding was an ode to simplicity and contemporary elegance. This intimate gathering, attended by fifty of the couple's closest family and friends, beautifully merged modernity with minimalism for a day that will be forever etched in the hearts of all who were present.
Dane and Lisa's love story began during their high school years, though they didn't realize it at the time. It wasn't until Dane returned from college that their paths intertwined, and he began to spend time with her through their mutual friends. For fun, the couple likes to try new restaurants, attend comedy shows and concerts, and enjoy outdoor hobbies like golfing or riding horses. Another cherished aspect of their life together is their adorable dog, Remi, who they love to take to the beach or trails. The day Dane proposed, they were getting ready to head to his birthday dinner when he actually attached the ring to Remi's collar. "Like most things in our life, it ended up being kind of comical because I didn't notice it at first," shared Lisa. "But he said he couldn't think of a better birthday present than me agreeing to marry him-aw!"
CEREMONY
The ceremony took place in a secluded corner of the venue, where the breathtaking views of sprawling fields and rolling hills served as the natural altar. The couple had left the area mostly untouched, allowing the majestic beauty of the landscape to frame their vows. A minimalist aisle of white petals and boughs of greenery created a subtle yet elegant focal point. As guests arrived, they were invited to snap a polaroid and fill out the guest book with a personal note to the bride and groom. The sun shone bright, casting a golden glow over the entire venue, setting the stage for an unforgettable day.
COCKTAIL HOUR
The cocktail hour was an enchanting interlude held out on the lush green lawn, providing the perfect opportunity for the newlyweds to mingle with and express their gratitude to their guests. As the golden sun began to set, the atmosphere took on a dreamy ambiance. The cocktail hour not only allowed for meaningful connections but also served as a picturesque prelude to the reception that awaited.
RECEPTION
The reception dinner took place indoors, where the rustic charm of Marfarm was beautifully complemented by the elegant arrangement of long wooden farm tables. Lush greenery cascaded down the middle of each table, creating a natural runner. Each place setting featured a gold charger beneath a dinner plate, and we added an inviting pop of color with warm orange napkins, elegantly folded in a square and adorned with a personalized name card and a sprig of rosemary. Table numbers were marked with art depicting iconic locations of the central coast. The combination of earthy textures, gold accents, and natural greenery created an atmosphere of sophistication and warmth. The choice of a smaller guest list allowed for genuine connections and heartfelt conversations, making the day all the more memorable for both the couple and their guests.
DINNER & DANCING
After the dinner concluded, the celebration seamlessly transitioned out to the rustic barn where the couple shared their first dance and cut their cake. After a few hours of joyful dancing, a food truck arrived as a surprise for guests, serving delectable Sugar Lips donuts, a sweet and indulgent late-night treat that left a smile on everyone's faces! As the night drew to a close, the couple bid farewell to their guests under a starlit sky, surrounded by the enchanting glow of love and happiness. From the heartwarming ceremony to the elegant reception, every aspect of the day contributed to an atmosphere of love, joy, and togetherness.
